Mount Shasta is a 14,179′ strato volcano that towers 10,000′ over the entire surrounding area. Mount Shasta is known worldwide as a spiritual destination, drawing thousands of people each year. When you ask people what draws them to this area, you commonly hear “because of the mountain” or “the mountain called me”. For others the mountain provides a ready playground for climbing, hiking, skiing and camping with friends and family.
